The Roommate Series: Tale of the Unappreciated: Part 2
Part 2: Boyfriend
Ex-claimer: all of this drama could have been avoided if Hannah or Katie or Rebecca has actually talked to me and had an honest conversation about what was bothering them. Instead they all chose to talk about me behind my back and go behind my back to the school to get me in trouble.
Hannah since the moment she met my boyfriend Ivan, seemed to have a problem with him. Ivan had come with me to help move me in, the first day of school. Since he was there for a few days, and then we were going to be apart for the year while i was in school for my senior year. I wanted to spend as much time with him as i could, so for the first three days that we had moved into the apartment, i spent mostly in my room with Ivan.
I think that was the start of all the problems. We immediately started out, all of us roommates with a divide between us. It only got worse. I'm not much of a drinker or partier, which was all Hannah wanted to do. I’ve always thought, that Hannah thought i was lame, which i know that i am, but i'm not sure why it all escalated to the place it did.
Once classes started we all just stayed to ourselves until we started having roommate dinners and parties in our apartment. I honestly thought we were all friends. Ivan had started to visit me at school, he had asked his job to always have two days off back to back.so that he could come visit me.
He would leave after he got off work at night and drive five hours to my school. He would stay for a day and a half, because he liked to leave in the afternoon, so he wasn't getting home really late. I would find out later that Hannah thought Ivan would be there for four or seven days. When in fact the longest he’d ever been there had been there was three days. I understand why she thought that, because sometimes Ivan would have Friday and Saturday off, go back to work on Sunday and then have Monday and Tuesday off.
Since, we didn't really hang out and didn’t’ see a lot of each other in the apartment because i stayed in my room a lot. So Hannah would see him on Saturday and then again on Monday and think he had been there there continuously since Friday, when he hadn’t.
The thing you need to know about Ivan is that he's very shy and uncomfortable around people that he doesn't know. So, every time he came over to see me, he wouldn’t talk to them. Which i know comes off as rude, but really is just him being awkward and not knowing what to say. Because Ivan is like that, whenever i had to leave to go to class or work. He would stay in my room, literally stay in my room. He would never step outside my door without me. If he had to pee, he would hold it until i was back, so that i could stand outside the bathroom door, so that he wouldn’t run into anyone without me.
One time he had to pee so bad that he went in a McDonald's cup, instead of going to the bathroom. Maybe, Hannah didn’t know these things, i don’t know for sure because instead of talking to me about anything she went to Kiki the head of housing for our school and told her that he was there everyday and that she was afraid to take a shower because was there and that he always left the toilet seat up and that is such an inconvenience to her.
So Kiki asked if Hannah wanted her to send someone to our apartment to get him out. Rebecca told me later that Hannah only said no because she had alcohol in the fridge. Kiki charged Rebecca with being the one to tell me that Ivan had to leave. She told me about the meeting and that she didn't agree with Hannah and she was sorry that she was doing this to me.
After i was told about that meeting was so upset. I said goodbye to Ivan, since he now had to leave. I cried for a while after he left, i couldn’t understand why Hannah would do that. Then i got mad and sent Hannah and Katie a long message asking what the problem was and they didn’t just talk to me. Hannah didn’t reply and Katie only had excuses about how my behavior was to blame. Through all of this i thought Rebecca was on my side but as i would find out later she wasn’t.
